I George Bush. K, a Tax Consultant who is passionate about Yoga, Traditional Fitness and spiritual awareness. I started practicing yoga in 2013 under the guidance of Master Mr. Sundaram. Then later I realized yoga chose me. Particularly I started to notice that by practicing yoga, I got Persistence towards life and my life is changing the way I wish to be.
But yoga is not just what I experienced; it is an infinite journey. Then I met Guru Dr. Shreevarma. who taught me more about the yogic culture and practice, with his guidance I came to realize that, one has to train their body and mind by them-self. That’s what yoga is and helped me to understand more about myself. Hence by that way through Karala Yoga we help you to know how to be your own teacher in your life in order achieve your overall wellbeing.
Since childhood, I inspired with fitness by watching my dad and uncle’s workout with various old fitness equipment they had at home. When I was 13, I started following their footsteps and began strength training myself. That period Arnold Schwarzenegger was my idol back then, I used to watch his videos with my friend Jayaraj and then we both used to practice heavily the next morning. That's how my journey in fitness began.
And then, due to some personal loss, I was in serious depression and I was looking for a way to improve my physical and mental health. So, I chose yoga with Master Mr. Sundaram and with Guru Dr. Shreevarma. I developed my spiritual awareness and yogic culture. And I realised, yoga chose me and changed my life completely.
Later on, in 2018, I came across a video of Karalakattai / Indian Clubs Practice which reminded me of my early stage of practice and I decided to resume my Old Fitness training. Then, the same video kept popping up on my YT feed, and I was intrigued and decided to give it a try. Hence, I enrolled in a Karalakattai Training to enhance my knowledge in it. But I felt the training was conservative. My idea and interest on it were beyond the stereotype. At that stage, I left that typical training class.
By that time, the first lockdown was imposed. I invested that time on exploring other traditional fitness methods. And then I came across various masters in Tamil Nadu and gained different views and concepts about traditional fitness. By this collective history on traditional fitness, it is clear that the vast method is difficult to practically apply in this modern era. Hence, I structured it with a purpose to reach everyone. I chose one of the first traditional fitness equipment called Karalakattai and combined it with yoga. By this way, I formulated the methods in Karala Yoga. That's how Karalayoga was born in 2020.
After preparing the complete syllabus in KaralaYoga. I founded a community of volunteers who share my vision and passion for this holistic approach to Fitness world. Today, our community is growing rapidly across the globe and we welcome you to join us!
